About

Hi, I'm Jez Wallace. I was born in Faro, Portugal, to a Scottish father and European Mother- I had the fortune of having an incredibly creative family.
From a very young age I was exposed to design, art, culture and travel.
I attended the prestigious Hun School of Princeton at a young age.
Taking the train from my parents home in coastal Connecticut to school required a train change in NYC, sometimes on Friday nights I never made it to Connecticut, (don't tell). Yeah i was 15 walking from Grand Central to Penn, but it was the 80's when we Gen x kids were cool to do their own thing.
Plus I knew how to throw a punch, and hurt feeling with an insult mostly about quality of ones shoes. Some things never change.
Enthralled with nyc galleries, fashion and nightlife. The energizing quartz beneath nyc wanted me to stay.
I attended parsons school of design and went on to design for many companies, including Donna Karan, Burberry in Tokyo, and most notably nearly 20 years at Calvin Klein, where I truly learned to understand lifestyle marketing. Working and traveling alongside the most incredible accessory, home Design, Marketing, and PR Creative Directors there was an incredible education of global design needs, sourcing materials, understanding beautiful make of clothing, accessories, objects, and creating moments and campaigns... Always finding the beauty in simplicity.
On this website, I look forward to sharing bits of my life, my situation; travel information, fashion commentary, places to check out in both NYC, around Millbrook NY, and my favorite international haunts, global exhibits I find interesting, and friends making gorgeous things.
A no gatekeeping zone.
In the online shop, you'll find made to order 'WALLACE' garments and leather goods, curated objects, skincare I love, and notable fun finds.
That's the current situation!
